Golf Club: has a 9 hole, as well as an 18 hole course. Thorpeness also has an 18 hole golf course, both are open to members and non-members.
​Tennis Courts: 4 public courts, 5 minute’s walk. You can pay when you play
​Beach: 5 minutes from house. Dogs allowed on the main beach only between October and April.

Opposite the White Lion Hotel on the beach there are two boules courts open to all.
Jubilee Hall, Aldeburgh
Theatre on seafront with live performances throughout the year – in the summer the theatre is taken over by a visiting troupe ideal for families

Large boating meare with canoes, rowing boats etc for hire to explore the Swallows and Amazon themed lake with small islands and great ice cream. 10 minutes from the house.
RSPB Minsmere – Westleton
RSPB reserve with nature trails and hides.

Iken Canoes
Body boarding and canoes for hire on the River Alde.
Sutton Hoo
Large Viking site with museum (as featured in The Dig film)
Framlingham and Orford Castles
Medieval castles, Framlingham was made famous by Ed Sheerhan's Castle on the Hill
Southwold
About 30 minutes away, good shopping, sandy beach, Adnams Brewery tours. Take the ferry across the river to Blythburgh and see the amazing angel ceiling at the church
The Long Shop Museum Leiston
Steam Engines, engineering, local industry during industrial revolution and beyond lots of interaction
Suffolk Punch Horses Trust
Home to Suffolk punches horses and their preservation, foals borne each year and set in 120 acres to enjoy
Snape Maltings
15 minutes drive or wonderful walk on Sailors Path, home of Aldeburgh Festival, founded by Benjamin Britten events all year round. The Maltings are a destination in itself with shops, cafés, a pub and wonderful grounds to explore.
